Amazon.com Product Description The Milwaukee 2310-21 Cordless M-Spector Digital Inspection Camera lets you get a clear picture of problems in hard-to-reach places. Whether you're working with wiring inside walls, examining the fragile pipes of an old home, or looking for serial numbers on parts in an engine that you don't want to disassemble, this versatile, snake-like inspection camera uses digital imaging technology to display crisp, color images on the screen of a hand-held unit. This means you can assess projects without causing unnecessary damage. Digital Technology for Useful, High-quality Images When you can assess a project without having to do unnecessary damage, you save yourself time, effort, and money. Unlike some micro-cameras, this digital inspection camera provides accurate, high-quality images, so that you can get an idea of what you're working with quickly. With a 2.4-inch, high-resolution color LCD display, you get plenty of detail. An exclusive, adjustable 2x image zoom feature lets you pick the magnification that most accurately shows what you're looking for. LED illumination makes it easy to see inside dark pipes and walls, and three stage brightness control combines with digital glare reduction to help you use this lighting to get a usable shot, not just an over-lit, difficult to decipher photo. Flexible, Easy-to-Use Design The Digital Inspection Camera fits through holes as small as 3/4-inch, so you can use it to look inside pipes, and you can thread it into complicated machines. This is possible because of an innovative design that includes a durable, detachable, three-foot-long water-tight flexible cable and an incredibly small camera head. An ergonomically designed handle lets you comfortably hold the hand unit in several different ways, a feature that's especially important for professionals who perform lots of pipe or wiring installation projects with the help of an inspection camera. Additionally, up-front power and image control buttons make it easy to operate this camera with one-hand. Convenient, AA Battery Power Powered by four AA batteries means that you have the convenience of using your choice of rechargeable or disposable power and don't have to worry about tripping over a cord. The digital inspection camera also offers a power saving, auto shut-off feature, which preserves battery life, so you can work longer on a single charge. What's in the Box 6-voldt digital inspection camera, 3-foot camera cable, and a carrying case.
Product Description Digital technology delivers superior image quality providing a crystal-clear picture of hard-to-reach places such as inside pipes, drains and equipment, and behind walls. ARRIVED DAMAGED July 1, 2010 Joeybones (New Jersey) The camera I received was previously opened and used. There was a large deep scratch on the end of the cable where the camera resides. I have no idea how it works as I immediatly returned it. I needed to use it right away and now will have to wait for a replacement. I don't understand why some vendors think it's OK to send a returned item to someone else and call it new.
Worth every penny and then some! Great device. June 21, 2010 Daniel Ruskoski (Tulsa,OK United States) I have used this scope several times now to inspect inside cars and other ares. It works great! The scope is not the thinnest one out there so if this size works for you it is great. Clear picture and good zoom. The newer model would be even better for some extra coin.
If you need a scope that will fit in holes smaller than about 3/4", get a scope with a smaller end.
Milwaukee Inspection Camera May 24, 2010 B. Hayes (Missouri) I purchased this to check part numbers and to check electrical connectors behind the instrument panel of a vehicle, etc. The length of the lens assy. and the stiffness of the flexible shaft are such that, in most situations, it cannot be done. I have found very few instances where it was useable. I would not recommend this product for most uses.
You'll Find Dozens Of Uses For It! May 1, 2010 Loni At the current price of around 100.00, this is a must have for every do-it-yourselfer. I purchased this to use in my business, and well, I am kind of a gadget freak. I thought I'd eventually find a few uses for it at home, too. But I can hardly keep this thing in the box!
First... the box! It comes in an impressive molded plastic case that completely protects it and keeps it at the ready. It is well built, came with a longer warranty than I expected (two years, I think), and the camera tip HAS proven to be waterproof (swimming pool tested!). The three levels of lighting are perfect, and the ability to magnify in 10% increments up to 100% helpful, but always leave me wanting more.
With it I've searched every nook and cranny in my car for that still-missing bluetooth headset, examined the connections and traced the cables on the back of my bohemith TV, looked under the fridge and stove for the thing that just flew out of my hand, and completed a few repairs without standing on my head, just to name a few.
Yes it could be even better if the neck was more flexible to allow you to position the camera any which way you wish, but then it's 3' neck wouldn't hold whatever position you bent it into. And yes, sometimes you'll have to make your brain "right" the image because that's the only angle you can get. But the wear and tear it saves on my body make it worth the price. This is the basic model. They have other products in this line with more feature$.
It paid for itself within the first few months, and I've never regretted the purchase.
Good view! April 29, 2010 Gary Brinck (Silver Springs, FL USA) Have only used this inspection camera a couple times but am quite pleased. The flexible arm for the camera is rather stiff and sometimes it is a little hard to get the video in focus but being able to view around corners and behind things at all is nearly priceless. Wish the battery park was rechargeable, but the AA batteries seem to last OK.
